The Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, University of Split (FEBT) successfully hosted the international workshop THRIVE – Teaching & Higher Education Renewal through Innovation, Voice, and Exchange, organised by the Academy of Management (AOM) as part of its Community Accelerator Program (CAP), in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism.

Over the course of the two-day programme, academic staff and doctoral students participated in lectures and interactive workshops focused on contemporary approaches to teaching, experiential learning, the application of artificial intelligence in higher education, and academic career development. Particular emphasis was placed on topics such as Inspiring Teaching – What Works and Why, Experiential Learning in Management Education, AI in Teaching, and AI vs. the Human Touch – Where Is the Line?

The workshop was led by internationally recognised experts Professor Jelena Zikić (School of Human Resource Management, York University, Toronto) and Professor Robert Kaše (School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana), who shared innovative approaches to teaching excellence, faculty development, and innovation in higher education.

As part of the programme, participants were also introduced to the SMART Researchers project, presented by Professor Ivana Bilić, Head of the project team at the Faculty. The project focuses on empowering early-career researchers through the development of research and professional competencies, international networking, and the creation of a supportive environment for academic growth and collaboration.

The workshop at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism was coordinated by Professor Ivana Bulog, Head of the Department of Management.
