Master in Management

Stay tuned — official enrolment dates will be announced.

The University Graduate Study Programme Master in Management is a two-year, full-time programme delivered entirely in English at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, University of Split. It prepares students for advanced managerial, analytical and strategic roles in business, public institutions and international organisations through a rigorous and practice-oriented curriculum.

Classes take place on the FEBT campus and combine a range of teaching methods — lectures, problem-based learning, seminars, case analyses, simulations, student-led research projects and guest lectures with industry professionals — supported by the Faculty's e-learning platform "Merlin." The programme follows a vertically integrated learning pathway, moving students from advanced theoretical understanding to independent application, with second-year electives allowing them to focus on applied economics, public policy, digital business or entrepreneurial strategy.

The programme follows the Bologna Process and is fully aligned with the Croatian Qualifications Framework (CROQF) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF, Level 7), ensuring comparability with well-established business master's programmes at leading European universities.

The Master in Management also supports internationalisation through guest lectures, short-term mobility opportunities, international summer schools, and participation in SEA-EU and Erasmus+ exchange programmes. Students are encouraged to collaborate with external partners and take part in the optional Internship – On-site Practical Assignment, applying their learning directly to the labour market. The programme concludes with the preparation and defence of a Master's thesis, in which students independently investigate a business or economics topic of their choice under the supervision of a faculty member.

PROFESSIONAL TITLE

University Master of Economics (univ.mag.oec.)

Prerequisites for enrollment

01.
What degree do I need to apply?

A relevant Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) in Business, Economics, Tourism, or a closely related discipline.

02.
My Bachelor's degree is in a different field — can I still apply?

Yes, but you'll need to complete bridging ("differentiation") courses through the Centre for Lifelong Learning and Adult Education at FEBT before admission. The same applies if you hold a professional (rather than university) Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Tourism — you'll need to complete the preparatory programme first.

03.
Do I need an English language certificate?

Yes, a valid English language certificate at C1 level or higher is required.

04.
Is there an entrance interview?

Yes — a compulsory motivational interview conducted in English (on-site or online), focused on your motivation and interest in management and business. Passing it is required for placement on the ranking list.

05.
I have a foreign diploma — is it recognised automatically?

No, it must go through the nostrification process via the Agency for Science and Higher Education (AZVO). EU-citizen candidates get an accelerated procedure; non-EU applicants should allow more time and apply early.

06.
How and when do I apply?

Through the national system "Postani student." All supporting documents (diplomas, transcripts, certificates) must be uploaded by 1 July of the application year. An autumn round opens under the same conditions if places remain unfilled after the summer round.

07.
How are candidates selected?

Eligible candidates are ranked according to their academic record and, subject to programme quotas, admitted to the Master in Management.
