Business

In the increasingly competitive marketplace, which is further intensified by Croatia's accession to the European Union, human capital with specialized knowledge and business competences is crucial in achieving success. To acquire required knowledge and competences, special emphasis is placed on more advance education in the functional areas of business studies: financial management, accounting and auditing, management, marketing, and IT management. These topics, in response to market demand, are included in the graduate university programme Business Studies.

The programme is a direct continuation of the undergraduate university study programme Business Studies and it provides advanced theoretical and methodological knowledge for practical application in today's changing business environment. As such, it completes the vertical axis of the university programmes which are enrolled and completed by a significant number of students who gain the professional qualifications which are particularly recognizable and demanded in the labor market. This is confirmed by statistics from the Croatian Employment Services. According to our career monitoring data, students who have completed the graduate programme in Business Studies are employed in banks, insurance companies, and in various firms from manufacturing, trade, and IT sectors among others.
