I am Dea, I am originally from Sarajevo, but I live in Italy. I am studying Economics and Management at the University Gabriele D’Annunzio Chieti Pescara.
Get ready to read about my crazy experience at UNIST.
In 2021, during my bachelor studies, I chose to spend my winter semester abroad - to be precise, in Split. The choice was clear from the beginning because Split is a beautiful city full of opportunities and I wanted to explore it. In 2023, during my Master's studies, I was wondering where to spend my next (summer) Erasmus semester and the choice was, one more time, - Split.
And, guess what…in September of 2023, I will be in Split for my third Erasmus mobility!
Let me tell you the motivations that guided me during these choices...
The University of Split and the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism are very focused on incoming Erasmus students; the IRO and ESN offices gave me all the tools to spend my semester enjoying all the student life in Split. In terms of organizational aspects, all the essential information was explained clearly and all the student opportunities were shown (dormitories, canteens, sports programs, bus instructions, residence permit information, etc.).
What I liked the most and what is bringing me to Split for the third time Erasmus, is the Faculty's organization and professionalism. The Professors are knowledgeable and available for questions at any time. The classes are organized in theoretical and practical blocks; the exams are scheduled in mid-terms and end-terms, and students have many places to meet each other and study.
This year was full of opportunities that I couldn't refuse. The first was that I got the chance to do my traineeship in the Erasmus + office at the FEBT with the Erasmus + coordinator Danijela Coppola and get a better insight into the procedures for incoming and outgoing students. The second was the honor of participating as a Conference hostess at the 14th International Conference "Challenges of Europe: Design for the Next Generation" (organized by the FEBT).
